The inaugural Dan Maskell Junior Wheelchair Team Tennis Event took place alongside the British Tennis Junior Nationals at Nottingham Tennis Centre in August. This event is being supported by the Dan Maskell Tennis Trust, The Youth Sport Trust and the LTA. The event was added to the calendar to fill the gap created when the National School Games Finals dropped to only take place every second year.
16 of the best Junior Wheelchair Tennis Players (aged 12 – 18) will take part and will represent Scotland, Northern Ireland and England (3 Teams). Of the 16 players, 12 had received support from DMTT either with tennis wheelchairs and/or grants towards coaching.
