In 2020 we were all incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of Cathie Sabin. Cathie had not only been an instrumental influence in tennis but she was also a great supporter of disability tennis and of the work the Dan Maskell Trust carries out. We were recently contacted by Cathie’s family who made a generous donation of £2500 to the Trust which was collected in Cathie’s memory. We are honoured to receive a donation in memory of such a great woman and were touched that Cathie’s family considered our charity when setting up their memorial donations. We offer a big thank you to all those who contributed to this donation. The Trust plans to use the funds to run our Recreational Wheelchair Doubles event in 2023 (the first time since Covid) which will be named in Cathie’s honour.
